New higher-level restrictions will be starting at our clinic on Tuesday 23rd of November to coincide with the opening of state borders and the increased risk of COVID-19 cases in our community.
These restrictions are to keep you safe and to protect our medical workforce who are already stretched. We believe everyone has the right to access health care, so we have a range of appointment options available.
Appointment options for patients fully vaccinated against COVID19 and patients under 12 years of age
If you have no respiratory symptoms (cough / cold / runny nose / sore throat / fever etc) your appointment options are:
- Telehealth via video or phone
- Face-to-face in the clinic with the following conditions
- Check in at the clinic and then return to your car. You will be phoned when the doctor is ready.
- Correctly worn mask compulsory for all people over 12 years of age. We also encourage masks for children under 12 if possible. As we are a high risk setting patients with mask exemptions will also be required to wear masks.
If you have respiratory symptoms (cough / cold / runny nose / sore throat / fever etc) your appointment options are:
- Telehealth via video or phone
- If the doctor decides a face-to-face appointment is necessary, the first step is to get a COVID swab at the Port Lincoln COVID Clinic located at the Port Lincoln Hospital (phone 86832007 to make a booking). If you test negative for COVID19, the doctor will conduct an appointment in a dedicated undercover space at the rear of the clinic or in the treatment room. You will be required to wear a mask and you will need to bring proof of your negative COVID result.

Please respect our staff
Our front-line staff are a valuable part of our medical team. This will be a very busy time for them with increased phone calls and questions. We ask that you please be patient and understand that we are working as hard as we can. Any abuse of our staff will not be tolerated and may result in you being banned from attending our clinic in the future.
You have all done a great job so far at keeping our community safe; let’s continue to look after our community and health care providers by complying with above changes.
