If You Are Already Pregnant, Congratulations!
The first step in your pregnancy care is to book your first appointment. This should be before 8-10 weeks of pregnancy and is with your doctor of choice, please CLICK HERE for more information on our GP Obstetricians. Our friendly reception staff would be delighted to organise this for you and answer any questions.
From this appointment you will be guided through your ongoing schedule of care.
If you are pregnant, or thinking of becoming pregnant, there are some important things you need to know. Now is the time to avoid alcohol, avoid smoking and to start taking folate and iodine tablets. There are also some foods to avoid when pregnant (or intending to be). Here are a couple of good links to get you started. We have more in the obstetric section of our patient resource centre. Any of our GPs or GP obstetricians would be happy to help with any questions you have.
If you are concerned you may be having difficulty falling pregnant, any of our GPs will be able to help to address your concerns.
